Our Aim
To provide the most reliable, safe and cost effective bulk haulage solution for businesses within the construction industry in the South East of England.
Our History
The company was established in 1999 and based in Sittingbourne Kent, from where it operated 3 articulated vehicles. It initially carried out haulage for aggregate companies.
In 2002, the company fleet expanded in response to a requirement to deliver building sand from the quarry of an associated company (Borough Green Sand Pits) to local businesses within the construction industry. As a result of this, the company relocated to larger premises based in the quarry.
Since then, the company fleet has grown year on year in both the number and variety of vehicle type. This was in response to increased internal demand from the associated companies; Borough Green Sand Pits Ltd, Sheerness Recycling Ltd and Santander Salt Ltd to deliver their products. There has also been an increase in external demand from a range of customers requiring deliveries of primary and recycled aggregate products, soils and clays to site and the removal of inert soil and stones and demolition hardcore etc from construction sites.
Our People
Our transport office is managed by experienced and dedicated staff who are always on hand to assist with customer requirements and to keep our ever growing fleet running smoothly.
Our drivers, who are all fully CPC trained, are encouraged to take pride in their vehicles. We pride ourselves on the fact that the majority of our drivers are long term employees.
Environmental Concerns
Lime Logistics is fully aware of the environmental impact of road transport, which it takes very seriously, and is always seeking wherever possible to mitigate this. Some examples of this are:
- Operating a modern fuel efficient fleet.
- Use of automated vehicle sheeting systems.
- Use of vehicle tracking systems for optimum route planning.
- All vehicles are London Emission Zone (LEZ) compliant
